Seafood Palace, Westminster, Reception

A lot of people and a lot of vendors.  I didn’t realize how many different vendors were going to be at the venue until I arrived.  I came in for music, monogram lighting and dance lighting.  The bride did an excellent job of coordinating everyone for this event.

There was a company that put curtains all around the restaurant to create a ballroom feeling; unfortunately, they also covered the DJ booth and I had to DJ behind a curtain all night (there were no other places where the DJ equipment could be placed).  The groom got “tired” during the evening and some of the guests had enjoyed ethnic karaoke enough, so I insisted on putting on the dance music a little early. I’m glad I too the time to talk to the bride and groom and know what type of event they wanted.  I stuck to the general plan and the evening went well.

Congratulations Angie and Mike!

Santiago Mansion, Orange, Ceremony and Reception

Beautiful venue overlooking Irvine Regional Park.  The couple rented the guest house and surroundings for a couple of days.  Very great relaxed couple; the groom and groomsmen were in the pool a couple of hours before the wedding ceremony, not stressed at all.  The groom was a music lover, so he planned all the music from pre-ceremony to the end of the night.  I worked with his music selection and everything went well.  Congratulations Roselie and Ryan!

Mon Cherie, Garden Grove, Reception

Very intimate venue.  The reception included a curtained sweetheart table, live band, photo booth and bar.  The venue already had uplighting.  I came in for the cake pinspotting, monogram lighting, Grand Entrance, filler music and dance music at the end of the night.  Congratulations Tracy and John!

Nixon Library, Yorba Linda, Ceremony and Reception

Second time at the Nixon Library in a month.  No uplighting.  Music and dance lighting for the evening.  Sunny and slightly breezy afternoon created some difficulties with the flower arrangements.  Congratulations Sal and Julietta!

Irvine Hyatt, Reception

Inside the tented ballroom.  I provided music for the evening.  Two weeks of planning for this event.  Many different vendors.  The lighting was provided by a different vendor, their friend provided the projector, the venue provided the screen.  Coordinating was a challenge, but the event went fairly smoothly.  Congratulations Edward and Lynn!

Nixon Library, Yorba Linda, Reception

Wonderful venue.  Beautiful chandelier highlights the room.  The white walls and columns are great for uplighting.  Very open room, so everyone can see the bride and groom wherever they sit.  Congratulations Angela and Derrick!

Universal Hilton, Lighting

Helping out a good friend and DJ, DJ Dais, with lighting at the Universal Hilton.  Congratulations Bo and Tan!

Paracel Seafood, Westminster, Ceremony and Reception

Last minute DJ service.  Coordinator contacted me two days prior to the event.  Provided music and dance lighting.  Congratulations Taka and Noriko!

Universal Hilton, Ceremony and Reception

Full wedding with ceremony, reception, dancing, monogram lighting and FUN!  Second weekend in a row at Universal Hilton next to Universal Studios Hollywood.  Got a little extra support from DJ Lucky throughout the evening.  Congratulations Jason and Ning!

Venetian Mansion, San Juan Capistrano, Ceremony and Reception

A challenging wedding due to many unforeseeable events.  Change of venue, noise ordinance and the original coordinator had a baby the day before.  Mostly outdoor venue with a converted garage turned into a dining area.  Dining tables were extended to the driveport area.  Sometimes with multiple vendors, coordinating can get difficult and direct communication can become a challenge.  But in the end, it all comes through.  Congratulations Mina and John!

Ceremony sound, uplighting, dance lighting, projector screen, audio, dance music and coordinating with live musicians for this event.  Coincidentally, the musician, a relative of the bride, was a teacher at my high school.
